New Year’s Resolutions!

We all make them.

Mine have left me feeling triumphant AND disappointed!

Many moon ago I was lead to read the entire Diary of St. Faustina.

(“Really, Lord?”)

Within a year.

(“REALLY???”)

Which left me to actually make a commitment!

This was not a normal “You must be a more organized person,” commitment.

No.

Not a “Get up at 5 am and exercise,” kind of commitment.

No.

But rather “Get up, examine your life, and flip-your-life-upside-down,” sort of thing!

(Yet another reminder of how God truly does provide exactly what we always need!)

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

This was the sort of thing where…God was tapping me by the shoulders, looking me right in the eyes, and saying, “Woman, what ARE you doing??” And I knew, at the core of my being, I needed to respond.

Wholly, fully, and Holy.

After much vacillation, (and antiperspirant,) I discerned upon a course of action that I judged to be not only achievable; but fruitful for me, as well. The Holy Spirit guided me to “portion” my commitment by reading 5 of Sr. Faustina’s entries from her Diary a day. True to form, by trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit, within the course of the year I successfully completed the reading of Helen Kowalska’s Diary!!  Not only was I provided  the time and opportunity to reach my resolution, but in portioning the readings it also enabled me to mediate and discover the personal message my God desired for my heart to receive daily, within the wisdom of these 5 individual entries.

And still the Lord calls me deeper….

As I read each day, I also wrote on the many things God tilled in the soil of my heart.

This page will be devoted to some of those writings with the hopes that God may inspire seeds of hope to be planted within you. (Check back periodically!)

My prayer for you is that you too, through the power of the Holy Spirit, may respond

wholly, fully, and Holy.
