St. Andrew’s Christmas Novena Begins November 30th!

I already mentioned (in an earlier post) that

I love the Advent Season of our liturgical calendar!!

One of my favorite practices is the participation in St. Andrew’s Christmas Novena.  I have partaken in this practice for many, many, many years now and I love the ‘rhythmic timing’ being committed to this Novena adds to my prayer life during Advent. I have tender chapel bells set on my phone that go off each time I am to pray this lovely prayer and my heart swells each time they softly ring out.

I have chosen to reblog a WONDERFUL description of this Christmas Novena written by a splendid blogger, Gretchen Filz, where you will find ALL THE INFORMATION NECESSARY to partake in this beautiful prayer devotion.  Gretchen is a convert to Catholicism who I am certain you will enjoy reading more about at her site!

Please let me know if you too adopt this prayer practice this Advent Season and be sure to share any blessings you receive as a result!  Big or small a blessing is a blessing, after all!!

hugs n’ blessings and may chapel bells ring out in your heart!

November 30 is the feast day of St. Andrew the Apostle. St. Andrew was the very first disciple called by Our Lord, and he is the one who got his brother, St. Peter to come with him to meet the Messiah….(click on the link below to learn more about St. Andrew & this important novena.)

  2. beautiful. I was not aware of Novena. It is truly lovely. Advent is dear to my heart and prayer rises. The expectation and journey to Christmas remembrance is becoming more and more special to me as the years are passing. Thank you for blog.
