A work will be praised for the skill of the craftsmen; so a people’s leader is proved wise by his words.
A babbler is feared in his city, and the man who is reckless in speech will be hated.
Sirach 11: 17-18

Whoah!
Is it just me???
Because I can find both of our 2020 Presidential candidates depicted, within these two verses of Sirach.
One is a babbler.
The other is reckless.
(I’ll let you define for yourself, who is who.)
And the consequence for both behaviors seems apropos, as well.
Giggles.
But just several verses later God, as always, brings us great hope!

The government of the earth is in the hands of the Lord, and over it he will raise up the right man for the time.
Sirach 10: 4
Yes!
GOD HAS GOT THIS!

Two weeks ago, I invited others to join me in saying a daily Surrender Novena for the sake of our upcoming elections.
Red or Blue, I’ve had a lovely response!
And several have shared the welcomed peacefulness they are feeling, that is slowly replacing the anxiety and fear which once over-swept them.

“Leave the care of your affairs to Me and everything will be peaceful.”
Day One, The Surrender Novena
If you have not begun the Novena yet, I would encourage you to consider doing so today.
I believe you will find that, even if it is not the climate of the World which is causing you distress, the Novena will help you to find peace.
hugs n’ blessings and may there be peace-filled days ahead, for you!
What beautiful photographs!
