The explanation of the Parable (of the Sower)

Now the parable is this:  The seed is the word of God.  The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved.  And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.  And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.  And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 8:11-15

  1. I particularly like this post. It is so applicable to my present journey with the Lord. Two writing projects (He inspired…Legacy of Limga the novel (history but fiction) highlighting I believe the Christian heritage of my town – not just the secular mining etc THE STORY OF A FAMILY. . Peace the meditation book….. true life about the PEACE which only comes from the Lord…internal…His Presence.) With side issues of minor health ‘scares’, computer ‘crash’ etc. Sowing seeds, trusting the Lord for the Vison to be fulfilled of both these books being a blessing to others. Seeing a step at a time the impossible becoming possible but weathering always the financial struggle. I flowed and simply resonated with your blog here. Thank you. A new grand-daughter is to be born on 28th June, I have a birthday on 25th and we hope to travel north to be of help when the little one arrives. Life is complex but infinitely beautiful when we have faith but know that planting of seeds is His Heart and Sowing and Reaping are principles of His Grace. Blessings and Love to you always on your journey>
