He said, “You know the toughest thing is to love somebody who has done something mean to you… it’s very important to look inside yourself and find that loving part of you. That’s the part that you must take good care of and never be mean to, because that’s the part of you that allows you to love your neighbor. And your neighbor is anyone you happen to be with any time of your life.”
Mr. Fred Rogers
Mister Rogers’s neighborhood was one of my favorite television shows to have our children watch. Along with JJ Heller who was one of my all time favorite musical artists to play, as they drifted off to sleep.

In a small way I have patterned my other blog, Oma’s Reading Room, after Mister Rogers’ endearing television program. Also, my admiration for JJ continues even until today.
I have followed her; along with her talented husband Dave’s, careers for many years now. Her music is used as the background to many many short videos I have made and posted on this blog-site; as well as, the theme song to Oma’s Reading Room!
I feel privileged to use her music as a subscriber to Musicbed because I can share her gifted talents with so many others.
And I am so excited because today, is one of those days!
As we, in the Continental United States, prepare to place our voting “ballots in the box” – or even if we have already mailed in our selections prior to today- I invite you to listen to JJ’s newest release; so that you might be reminded of what truly holds us together, beyond the issues we individually champion towards.
May we always respect one another not just for the political ideology we hold, but for any of the issues which may seek to divide us.
“When the chasm between us feels so wide
JJ Heller, You are my neighbor.
That it’s hard to imagine the other side
But we don’t have to see things eye to eye
For me to love you like
You are my neighbor”
Who are the people in your neighborhood?
May God give us hearts like His to love our neighbors well!
hugs n’ blessings to all those who reach out to the other side!
Thank you for the lovely verse and song. Hope to always be your neighbor. 💕💕

Everyone is our neighbor! But you’re right, we don’t always remember that, do we? Thanks for this timely post.
