*this is not a political post!
Remember how I said I’ve been unearthing treasures?!!
Well, this particular treasure is too good not to be shared!
It’s another book but,
this one needs to be shared with:
every student before they begin high school,
every young adult going off to college,
every man or woman entering marriage,
every professor,
administrator,
activist,
media outlet,
celebrity,
politician,
conservative,
liberal,
independent,
world leader,
facebook lecturist,
and two-thumbed twitter-er!
How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better
by Brant Hansen
“Okay. So this may sound like the dumbest thing you’ve ever read, but here goes: You can choose to be “unoffendable.””
And that’s just the first line of the book, folks!!!
It’s a ridiculous idea!
And that’s the title of the first chapter!!!
giggles
But, after reading Brant Hansen’s book I’m convinced…he’s right.
It’s a choice we can make, to just choose not to be offended.
(You’ll find that sentence on the first page!!!)
I won’t quote every page, ALTHOUGH I EASILY COULD, because I want everyone to have lots to talk about with
every student before they begin high school,
every young adult going off to college,
every man or woman entering marriage,
every professor,
administrator,
activist,
media outlet,
celebrity,
politician,
conservative,
liberal,
independent,
world leader,
facebook lecturist,
and two-thumbed twitter-er!
“Everybody’s an idiot but me. I’m awesome.” @branthansen
hugs n’ blessings to everyone willing to be unoffendable and brave enough to start the conversation!
Hope you’ll join the club!
“Forfeiting our right to anger makes us deny ourselves, and makes us others-centered. When we start living this way, it changes everything.”
― Brant Hansen, Unoffendable: How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better
I think I’m going to have to add this to my reading list! I always like to read something different; helps me stay objective.

Brant Hansen writes conversationally with wonderful wit & sass! Felt like I was listening to one of my German-Irish cousins or Uncles, very relatable reading. And I am sincere when I share: I truly learned a lot & am able to put into practice practically daily what has been taught! I hope you have the same positive experience!! Thanks so much for strolling through my site and taking the time to share your thoughts! Hugs to you & blessings too!!

Choosing to not be offended is a great idea. Game Changers is a book and a series of studies written by Graeme Cooke a lecturer I have seen and heard at Conferences. He too is passionate that those who stand for Christ in this broken world need to CHOOSE how they will behave. Not to be moulded by what is considered acceptable and ‘normal’ by societies standards but making choices to line up absolutely with God’s Purposes for the world. I will indeed try to check out Brant Hansen’s book. Thank you for ever encouraging blog.

Love the concept. It tones down the agitation and anxiety levels our country is going through. It also cleans the was “wax” out of people’s ears to they can listen WITHOUT being offended! (LOL)
