it’s the monday giggles…
With all the heart-wrenching travesty swirling around in the world – it hardly seems fitting to pull out a giggle.

But our lives can still find sweetness, our hearts can always soften, and our hope still can be found.
I do pray this little sharing brings a tiny giggle to your Soul.
And in it, may you claim the calm sense of knowing WHERE our peace can be found–
even if for only a little while….

If you were a member of my parish it would be ingrained in your psyche “No bible, no breakfast! No bible, no bed!” Our parish priest, Father Larry Richards, reminds his flock of followers of this importance perpetually! (first giggle.) He frequently bellows an enthusiastic reminder, “Before our feet hit the floor in the morning we should open the Word of God with steadfast faith, “Speak to me your Word, O Lord!” Then allow the Bible to be opened and our eyes to be led toward the Scripture God intends for us this day. And the same in reverse order upon returning to bed in the evening, to apply the Word of God as a balm on our hearts at the close of every day.” I am paraphrasing of course, also I am not jumping up & down in typical Father Larry fashion, but I am sure you get the clear picture! (second giggle.)
Truthfully, this practice of God revealing His Word to you at the beginning & end of each day, can be hard to do!
However, I can honestly attest...there is nothing more worthwhile which I have disciplined myself to do.
*NOW I am jumping up and down (third giggle!)
Which leads me to the real giggle for this Monday.
It’s a tender one.
And just the one I was in need of.
Moreover, I do hope the reason I am sharing it with you is because…it was meant to bring a smile for you, as well.

*The Lord is peace.
I needed these Spirit-led Words for my troubled heart this morning.
I needed the reminder that He is still there.
And how, in Him, we shall know peace.
Perhaps His reminder will softly tickle your own heart too & you may rest just a little easier
because of it.
hugs n’ blessings to all those weary from the turmoil swirling around us…may YOU discover exactly where it is you can find rest.
*Shouldn’t – wouldn’t – it be a wonderful world if everyone believed this…
*Said while jumping up and down, some more!
Thanks for the reminders. And, yes, I did smile thinking about Fr. Larry sharing his “No Bible, No Breakfast” guidelines in his own quiet, passive manner (NOT!). May you and your house be filled with the Peace of our Heavenly Father today and always…

Thank you I will always appreciate the beauty and love you share in your joy, and the beauty of expression. .My heart is grieving like the psalmists of old about what is happening in your beautiful country. My hope is that hearts and lives will be TURNED BACK to a full appreciation when this is all over, of what Christ has done for humankind at the Cross and for the unbelievably precious Gift of our God Heritage.

I join you in this prayer Faye. Our hearts are wrenched and the pain is palpable on all fronts. Keeping our eyes heavenward is the only means keeping our Spirits afloat & I am so grateful to have a relationship with Him – for He IS the only one who can save us from this storm. 💔
