it’s a brand new day!

dancing through my head…

Some kind of magic
Happens late at night
When the moon smiles down at me
And bathes me in it’s light

I fell asleep beneath you
In the tall blades of grass
When I woke the world was new
I never had to ask

It’s a brand new day
The sun is shinning
It’s a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I’ll be OK

Most kind of stories
Save the best part for last
Most stories have a hero who finds
You make your past your past
Ya you make your past your past

It’s a brand new day
The sun is shinning
It’s a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I’ll be OK

This cycle never ends
You gotta fall
In order to mend

And it’s a brand new day
It’s a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I’ll be OK

hugs n’ blessings to all the heroes at the end of the story…

“Remember that you are in the world and not of the world. The Holy Spirit within you can stir up hope if you will believe in the sovereignty of God in spite of the wickedness of the world.”

Psalm 42:5

Your best start to any brand new day is in the Word of God!

  1. Praise God indeed for each restful evening and new day dawning. I have a friend who turned 101. She inspires the rest of us. Her first thought is “God thank you I am still breathing!’ Her second is ‘Now Father I will wait until Your Strength flows so I can get up’. Sometimes she does not rise until late morning but always enjoys her meals, walks every day and sits in her garden. Laments she cannot work in her garden any more but rejoices in God she can still enjoy His Presence among the flowers. When family come to check on her they are prepared each day that she might have ‘gone home’ but rejoice with her each day. Moon in the evening, Sun in the morning and faith and Presence of God. Praise Him indeed. Thank you for your blog!

    1. Thank you for sharing such an endearing story. It tickled my heart to hear such love of life and so very inspirational to be reminded how important it is to fully embrace this ‘life’ we’ve been given…no matter the age! I am quite certain God will place her amongst His fields of flowers when He at last calls her home. Isn’t it delightful to know that all who love her will be reminded of her in every bloom left behind! Hugs & thank you for the constant encouragement, you will never know how much it means….
