We love, because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19
It’s interesting that God created some animals to be mostly loners. Examples are bears, koalas, and sea turtles. Sometimes a solitary life seems appealing doesn’t it? Wouldn’t it be a peaceful existence to just do your own thing without answering to or dealing with anyone? No cooperation or communication required. Yet what a lonely life too – void of relationships, connection, and love.
God created solitary animals in their unique ways, but He created humans entirely different. He created people in His image, to be more like Him. And that’s exactly why people do have love for others. “We love, because He first loved us.” It’s as simple and profound and beautiful as that.
God is love itself as the whole chapter of 1 John 4 explains. Apart from Him, it’s impossible to know what real love is. And because He created you and showed His love for you – especially through the sacrifices of His Son, Jesus Christ – people are consequently wired to want to imitate Him in sharing love and being part of loving relationships with others.
You taught me about love, Lord, and now I need to share what I know with others. Give me the courage to love others boldly! Amen.

hugs n’ blessings to the bold and the brave!

My newest neighbors play pickle ball every week and they just returned from a trip from Hawaii (for their daughter’s wedding) and he placed 3rd in a tournament there! I’d love to learn to play! Your pics and the wonderful people in them are filled with love, too. Speaking of love…I just LOVE YOU! 💛💕❤️

You sure to know how to make my heart blush! 😊 (And I hope you know I love you too from the top of my messy bun to the tips of my toes.)
Cuppycake & I adore playing pickle ball and we spent a lot of time this summer discovering friends who feel the same; as well as, teaching still others HOW to play. 🏸YOU WILL LOVE IT!! Hugs to your neighbor for taking a 3rd place at tournament!! That’s definitely a person you will want to “learn” from. 🥰

That’s a very good point, Dawn! Even us introverts truly need our connections to others, as that is how we express our faith and also how we are nurtured in our faith.
