I’m hurting.
I’ve been hurting for a fairly long time now.
And it’s not just because I’m heartbroken.
It’s not because I’ve been lied to for several years.
It’s not because of the secrets.
And those who kept them.
It’s not because of the betrayal.
And all the many who stay silent.
Or even those who continue to support the matter today.
Most especially it’s not because of the judgement.
It’s because of the love.
The love I have for others.
But mostly, the love I hold for Him.
There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test Jesus and said, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?” He said in reply, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.’ He replied to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.”
Luke 10:25-28
I love Him so much!
And I hurt greatly because I know that my hurt fails in comparison to His own.
Because, He always knew.
While I had the grace of naivety, He knew straight-way what has been happening.
Jesus wept.
John 11:35

Undoubtedly, there is so much hurt in the world right now.
Pick most any topic; which currently saturates the news cycle, and you can easily apply my words of hurt to the circumstance.
Whatever the hurt or wherever it may come from, I pray to remember:
We were given THIS LIFE because we are STRONG ENOUGH to live it.
For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:10
The Bible offers many valuable verses on finding strength for hard times and encouraging our faith when we feel despair. Satan’s goal is to make us feel weak, useless and ultimately to destroy us and those we love. Yet, EVERYDAY we can fight these attacks with the truths of Scripture!
Because we have a loving God who aches to teach us!
Command and teach these things.
1 Timothy 4:11
Indeed….
Morals may change.
Churches may change.
Societies may change.
People may change.
Nations may change.
But God’s Word remains the same!
For ever, O Lord, thy Word is firmly fixed int the heavens.
Psalm 119:89
No exceptions.
He said what He said.
(AND)
In that (alone) I find my hope & restore my peace.
hugs n’ blessings to all those who live the Truth.
Dear One, I do not need to know what has impacted upon your beautiful and sacred life but I too have had a valley of betrayal in my life. ONLY GOD! You are LOVED! Matua O Terangi A New Zealand prayer of Grace.

Thank you, Faye. It has been a trying time & the cross has been heavy, but I know God has sent me many wonderful, compassionate, faith-filled companions to assist in carrying the cross-beams with me. As you know I trust in Him alone; however, am so grateful for all the heavenly AND earthly angels He has directed my way. 💕 Please know I count you as one. 😘 Warm hugs!

Great reflection.
With pain comes growth and grace.
Change is never an easy thing, but for John Henry Newman at the age of 44, it was an essential component of authentic personal growth. “In a perfect world it may be otherwise,” he wrote. “But here below to grow is to change, and to be perfect means to have changed often.” Through his conversion process, his prayer, “Lead Kindly Light..” was part of his anticipation.
Yet I know from having experienced change and hurt it brings beautiful gifts among the painful suffering if we allow it to do what God intends it to do as we embrace it. But like St. John Henry Newman says to change means to grow. I’ve been giving a lot to God lately and trying hard not to take it back. I can’t deal with the pain of it any more.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration Dawn.

Thank you, Margie for your very kind & encouraging words. It does us well to draw strength from the Saints and I value the gift they bring to my Spirit every time I can learn from one. 😊 I appreciate this sharing from the wisdom of John Henry more than you know! Hugs to you and your entire family, especially as you prepare to spend the Thanksgiving holiday together. 🦃

Thank you friend, for your tender support.💕 Despite wishing I could trade in this particular cross; I wouldn’t trade it for anything of the world, if it meant losing Him. 😔 Hugs to you for being a compassionate companion as I navigate through this difficult path.
