worthiness

To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power.

2 Thessalonians 1:11

God, I can get so caught up in the idea that I am not worthy of You, that I am not enough to gain Your promises. But I have to realize that You didn’t die for me because of what I can offer to the kingdom. You took on my sin because You loved the world and loved me with an unashamed, full, agape love.

That kind of love cannot be measured.

When I ask myself if I am worthy of You, I am trying to measure Your goodness.

That is impossible!

I feel unworthy because of sin, but Jesus wiped away my sin on the cross and replaced it with immeasurable love. Thank You, Lord, that You remind me daily that when I feel unworthy, You say I’m valuable.

hugs n’ blessings measured and poured out…for you!!

  1. A-men Sister.
He died for all the unworthy so by His atoning sacrifice ALL can be made worthy and fit to be with HIM for eternity. We are to accept Him, Follow in His Way by the instructions in the WORD and journey on with repentance, confession knowing His Forgiveness allowing the SPIRIT to ever work to sanctify us and make us into His Image, What A journey but we need by our lives to encourage others to follow Him in HIS WAY. There is no other WAY. Blessings as you live!

    1. Andy! I have no idea how I missed this lovely comment you took the time to write. However, I sincerely appreciate your kindness to take the time to add such a beautiful affirmation to my reflection. It was the Spirit of God who inspired what poured out… and I am grateful to have so many (other) hearts knit together in the same Spirit…hugs and blessing to you for being one! (A very special one!)
