I love the quiet. I thrive in solitude.

I am my best-self without the distractions of the world dancing (outside of) and the clutter of my thoughts whirling (within) me.

tried and true

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24

When you read this verse, what person comes to mind?

You may be thinking of someone who has been very unreliable or perhaps you are smiling at the thought of that one friend who feels even closer to you than your own family. Relationships are a blessing, and it’s worth taking the time to consider what friends are encouraging you and what friends are not.

water-lily, mine

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

1 Timothy 4:14-15

Jesus gave you special gifts and talents. It is as though he has a garden full of the most beautiful flowers, and if you do not rise and bloom, there is no-one else who can take your place.

And I have met many of those flowers!

Especially, in this cyber-space! Each one using the talents they have been given (in many ways) to glorify God. Sometimes with intention, while others simply sharing their time and talents with those of us who stroll through their site.
