A silent soul is strong; no adversities will harm it if it perseveres in silence. The silent soul is capable of attaining the closest union with God. It lives almost always under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God works in a silent soul without hinderance.

O Jesus, I want to live in the present moment, to live as if this were the last day of my life. I want to use every moment scrupulously for the greater glory of God, to use every circumstance for the benefit of my soul. I want to look upon everything from the point of view that nothing happens without the will of God. God of unfathomable mercy, embrace the whole world and pour Yourself out upon us through the merciful Heart of Jesus.

In a previous post regarding the essence of time, I spoke of how the Almighty has been working another season of “spring cleaning” in me – body, mind and spirit!
He is using the topic of “time” to teach what He desires me to know & many things have come out of this experience already. I may dribble a few of those lessons in my upcoming posts praying that there may be just one thing in there somewhere for you, too.
O my God, help me to remember – That time is short, eternity is long. What good is all the greatness of this world at the hour of death? To love You, my God, and save my soul is the one thing necessary. Without You, there is no peace, no joy. My God, I need fear nothing but sin. For to lose You, my God, is to lose all.
