fill it up!

Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures.

1 Corinthians 13:7

Are you a glass half-empty type of person or is your glass half-full?

Well let me just say, God wants you to have a glass overflowing!

How God loves you is pure and constant!

Does your mind turn to the negative when hearing what others say? If someone gives you a compliment, “You did great today!” Do you hear “Yesterday you really could have done better?” Do you let the opinions of others determine your own self-image?

It’s easy to let this spill over into our relationship with God. It’s easy to only see the ominous warnings and condemnations in God’s Word and miss the blessings and messages of hope and love.

But remember – Christ died for our imperfections!

We are a new creation!

It takes courage to change the way we think about ourselves. The Lord patiently accepts and loves everything about you. Embrace God’s love for you which always (every single time) trusts, always (yes, every single time) hopes for the best for you, and always (forever) continues.

God, thank you for loving me even when I find it hard to love myself. Help me to always see myself through your eyes.

Do you have problems of self-worth? Does this affect your relationship with others? With God?
