humble gift

Do you like surprises?

I know some people who especially love the buildup and anticipation surrounding surprise gifts.

God has a gift for us today, but we must be willing to let him surprise us.

This is the gift of humility.

Humility is when we come to God confessing we don’t know the answer; we don’t have it all figured out.

Where there is pride, there is no room for surprise.

We feel the pressure to have all the answers, but God is asking us to let go of that.

When we unwrap humility, we are positioned to receive this wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that Proverbs is talking about.

I. Hate. Lies.

Don’t you?

With all the proverbial chaos in the world; especially the heightened “wokeness” as of late, most of us have been caught in a web or two. Left to sort out between fact & fiction or common sense & science or the brazen declaration(s) of: up is now down or boy is girl we are left to trust very few things.

Regretfully, as “open-book” as I have personally been with others about this great disdain

I still have been lied

about.

(Which others believed.)

And lied

to.

(Boldfaced & hidden.)

All of them have been quite the up-close & personal lessons

of walking side-by-side

with Job!
