or is it the destination in the end?

This quote was first painted above our fireplace mantle in our home in 1997, then followed us to our current home in 2014 where it remains today.

My children often tease that it shall be woven into my eulogy one day – mostly because despite having seen this quote the majority of their lives they still continue to mis-quote it.

Which they deliberately know drives me crazy, giggles.

white-flag strategy

Several of my more recent posts have been a “purging,” as such.

A regular tossing-aside of some creepy-crud matters!

Could you tell?

Hopefully, it has been quite obvious that…

I do not like discord!

Nope. Nada. Zilch.

And there certainly has been enough of THAT floating around since 2016!

(With no signs of stopping, I might add.)

So, what’s an optimist to do?

(Besides cheering them on – toward a happier path, that is!)

a gentle approach.

Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14

A peaceful day at the lake with treasured company.

Peace is a word used to describe a sense of feeling calm and relaxed.

We may automatically think of ourselves as lying back on a deck chair in the sun with no work to do and no one around to disturb us or of paddling a kayak through the calm waters of a lake all to our own.

Yes, being relaxed is a wonderful thing!
