day is done

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
‘Neath the sun, ‘neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.

Save the Internet -vs- Save the Children

March 2019 – Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released a statement following the introduction of the Save the Internet Act of 2019:

“Today Congressional Democrats joined to demonstrate our united support for a free, open internet and the restoration of strong net neutrality principles, which were rolled back by President Trump’s FCC in 2017. Last year’s effort to restore net neutrality had bipartisan support in the Senate, and I hope my colleagues will continue working to pass legislation permanently enshrining strong net neutrality protections in our code of law. It does not concern me in the least that I be judged by you or any human tribunal; I do not even pass judgment on myself; I am not conscious of anything against me, but I do not thereby stand acquitted; the one who judges me is the Lord. Therefore, do not make any judgment before the appointed time, until the Lord comes, for he will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts, and then everyone will receive praise from God.

1 Corinthians 4:1-5 (emphasis added)

The First Friday Devotions are a set of Catholic devotions to especially recognize the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and through it offer reparations for sins. September’s First Friday’s Mass Readings, such as the one above, could not be more appropriate for the goings-on in our world. I know they spoke directly to my heart! ❤️

Do you ever feel judged, despite your attempt to live a life as a Servant of Christ’s?
