formed on the shore (a granular whale-tale.)

I found a pile of sand.

So I stopped to ask, “What do you wish to be?”

I was happy to see

a whale was he,

buried amongst the grainy pebbles below!

And

how verily lucky did he

stop to smile at me,

before he had to go!

What will you become today?

But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8

hugs n’ blessings as you allow yourself to be formed by His hands (everyday,) because you are certain to be a master-piece when you do!

The whale is mentioned in the first chapter of the Bible, 21st verse.

“And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” (KJV)

“So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.  And God saw that it was good.” (RSV)

    1. Thank you, Julie! This was a fun little ditty to write & be reminded how formed by God’s very own hands are we (all!) Hugs for taking a minute to read and respond, I am delighted to have your faithful following!

  1. Beautiful thank you. It is currently ‘whale watching season’ on the coast near where we live. (safety for them and common sense for humans is always my prayer)… Thank God indeed for these majestic and wonderful creatures. They come to Hervey Bay each winter and bring their calves for rest and refreshment before returning to the Antarctic. Our God is an awesome God!

    1. What a blessing to be able to witness such majestic beauty in its natural habitat! Do you get to go watch them yourself? I would be giddy to do so! We took a family trip to one of the Hawaiian Islands many, many years ago & went out on a whale-watch boating excursion. We were fortunate enough to see 2 hump-backs emerge from the ocean blue and it took my breath away!! God is so creative and I enjoy His ability to amuse us! Thanks for sharing Faye – I appreciate you sharing the wonder that surrounds you, through your words! Hugs & Blessings!
