Our daughter is a teacher.

And she is one of the many thousands who are called to a vocation of teaching

Special individuals

But she (and others like her) remind us they are more appropriately considered:

Special ABILITIES.

Two little feet, ten little toes,

running and jumping at play.

Two little feet, too little time,

will be walking to school one day.

Kicking a rock, or skipping a rope,

wading a puddle or washed with soap.

Two little feet, one little child,

will soon go their own way.

But footprints in my mind recall,

the “M” word!

it’s the monday giggles….

A few months ago a little bit of “fluff” started showing up around the hips…unexpectedly. 

Nothing drastic, but enough to cause me some personal uncomfortableness.

Along with the fluff came some very unusual feelings, as well.  Often accompanied by an inferno setting up residence in my body!

Finally,  having enough of this unusual “fluff & feelings,”  I sought medical answers.

As many more mature females who are reading may have already suspected, the Dr’s diagnosis was of a hormonal nature.  The dreaded “M” word was mentioned, which was later confirmed with further diagnostic testing.

Indeed, I’d entered the “fun” phase of femininity….menopause. Continue reading “the “M” word!”
