too!

It was fitting to make merry and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”

the struggle

For all of January, Word Press is running once again a month-long blogging challenge and I have been invited to join them!

(Along with every other WP member! Giggles.)

I will be given a new daily writing prompt to inspire me to publish a post on my blog. There is no right or wrong way to respond to the prompts. Members who register take this opportunity to exercise their creativity and have fun! We can choose to respond with a story, a drawing, a poem, a photo, a comic strip, a recipe, or even a playlist.

Anything goes!

I am excited for this challenge because by participating in Bloganuary, I will join bloggers around the world in the shared goal of creating and/or solidifying a strong blogging habit. Also, with the Bloganuary community site, I’ll connect with and get to know others working toward similar goals. I just may even make some new blogging friends!!

This all excites me!

While I may not use the prompt every day – I do hope to use this challenge to strengthen my blogging habit, yet again. However, if I do use the prompt for the day I will be certain to attach the badge to clue you in!

Inspired by January 2nd’s prompt:

Are you brave?

I am a woman.

I am a wife.

I am a mother.

I am a grandmother.

I am His.

Those are definites.

It’s all the in-between, which I often struggle (to answer.)

Am I brave?

When I rest in Him…I am.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 41:10

hugs n’ blessings to all those who trust in the great I AM – and become braver than they ever imagined!

building up.

“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”

Matthew 12:25

Do you remember a moment when you realized you just couldn’t do it on your own?

I am learning how, in these moments, it is important to become vulnerable, fall on my knees & have my Prayer Team on speed-dial!

American culture has historically encouraged us to be independent.

This freedom of choice is a gift, and yet it can also lead to us feeling as though we are the masters of our own destiny. Even now, as independent as the modern life may be, we are still part of many social structures.
