Preparation…

it’s the monday giggles…

Can you feel it?

It’s the annual whirling-dervish of anticipation in the air, brought on by the merry chaos of the holidays approaching !

So, as we head into the upcoming holiday season just a friendly reminder from me!

Undoubtedly, as we gather together with family & friends in one manner or another the three hardest things to say are:

  • I’m sorry
  • I need help
  • Worcestershire sauce

*Be certain to practice all three as much as necessary!

with heaven in view

“One of the characteristics of the Christian is inward joy. Even under difficult circumstances, there will be a joyful heart and a radiant face. Unfortunately, many Christians go around with droopy faces that give no outshining glory to God. A true Christian should be relaxed and radiant, capable of illuminating and not depressing his surrounding.

I have found in my travels that those who keep Heaven in view remain serene and cheerful on the darkest day. In all ages people have found it possible to maintain the spirit of joy in the hour of trial.

There are times when I feel I don’t have joy, and I get on my knees and say, “Lord, where is the fruit of the Spirit of joy in my life?” I find that the joy is there down deep – it is a deep river.

Whatever the circumstance, there IS a river of JOY!”

Billy Graham

What really is joy?

What are the times in which you have experienced real joy?

Are joy and happiness the same thing?

hugs n’ blessings for JOY LIVED OUT LOUD!

be better!

Passing along a little ditty which appeared in our Church bulletin recently.

As Father encouraged us – these are all important points to reflect upon.

I know several certainly gave me great pause and self-examination.

Are there any you need to address in your life?

It’s Strange

It’s strange how twenty dollars seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping.

It’s strange how 2 hours seem so long when you’re at church, and how short they seem when you’re watching a movie.

It’s strange that you can’t find words to say when you’re praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend.

It’s strange how difficult it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read a popular novel.

It’s strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts, but they want to sit in the last row at Church.

It’s strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute.

It’s strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God and share it with others, but it’s easy to repeat gossip.

It’s strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say, but we question the words in the Bible.

hugs n’ blessings for all those seeking to be and do better.
