In all this unnecessary craziness.

There was a spouse or a mother that helped her Marine pack.

She helped get their gear together.

With tear filled eyes, she helped fold everything to fit.

She read off the gear list as they double checked everything.

good to meet you

Over 4 foot-green-apple gum ropes and fireball candies.

That’s how we met.

Mid 1970’s during a high-school baseball game at a snack stand.

Every game thereafter we’d saunter down to the snack stand together during the 7th inning stretch.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

A lot of time has passed since then and our friendship has branched out from the ball park accompanying our shared faith & family life.

How truly blessed we are to have such a long-lasting friendship together.

Where candy continues to (still) be included!

Father knows best

Have you ever had a moment when you’ve cried out for help?

When you’ve been so burnt out by a medical or life crisis that you’ve sought guidance?

I think deep down we believe it would be easier to deal with our problems by ourself, rather than going to God. To use our own coping methods rather than seeking his guidance.

That’s called humanness.

However, we can’t hide from God. He knows our heart better than anyone else, as every good Father does.

This is why we can humbly go to Him, in awe of the great forgiveness he offers for seeking to figure out things on our own – before coming to Him.

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
