It’s a Women’s Thing!

Hello, friends!

Recently, I was asked to deliver a presentation for the Women in our Parish regarding adult female friendship and the importance of female friendship in a woman’s life.

But before I go any further in this post I must explain a few things about myself.

In no particular order: I’m a wife, a mother, an Oma, and a lover of God. I’m a blogger, a crocheter, and I am an encourager – a real people cheerleader. (GO PEOPLE!)

And I’m also a reader, who especially enjoys reading to the littles out-loud!

why love?

We love, because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19

It’s interesting that God created some animals to be mostly loners. Examples are bears, koalas, and sea turtles. Sometimes a solitary life seems appealing doesn’t it? Wouldn’t it be a peaceful existence to just do your own thing without answering to or dealing with anyone? No cooperation or communication required. Yet what a lonely life too – void of relationships, connection, and love.

God created solitary animals in their unique ways, but He created humans entirely different. He created people in His image, to be more like Him. And that’s exactly why people do have love for others. “We love, because He first loved us.” It’s as simple and profound and beautiful as that.
