Create in me a clean heart, O God. Psalm 51.
they were dirty. they needed cleaned. and there was only one place to heigh-ho and go.
the laundromat.
“Wait, what? I do not like this very much! At. All. ‘Be Brave’ my fun-stuffed friends!!”
could it be? that she.
would not understand.
“I am in no way comfortable with this.”
and so there needed to be a plan…
“Stay calm, and stick together everyone! I, the best golden-retreiver-in-the-universe, will save you!”
round & round & round they’ll go…

where they’ll stop, wait…
nobody….
knows, where is Helen?
uh, oh. nice try Helen. (miss distraction-ator!)
“Want to play catch? Or fetch?”
we know you do not like
baseball.
“But I couldn’t find a tennis ball.”
now this was very clever indeed.
“You cannot see me but I am resting on the floor near the red-headed lady’s prayer books.”
but morning prayer is finished. (and it’s already noon too.)
only one thing to do.
wash you too!!
“This is NOT how I saw this going…”
at last they’re (all) dry!

“Don’t worry! I will get the red-headed lady to look the other way! And then at last, I will rescue you!”
“SQUIRREL!!!”

and now that
THAT
is over…
“we will never get dirty again!”
hugs n’ sudsy blessings!
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
