There really is something very magical that comes together within this small lake town community in Northwestern Pennsylvania throughout the entire year; however, the fourth of July is extra-special and we are so grateful to be a part of it!

It’s a Women’s Thing!

Hello, friends!

Recently, I was asked to deliver a presentation for the Women in our Parish regarding adult female friendship and the importance of female friendship in a woman’s life.

But before I go any further in this post I must explain a few things about myself.

In no particular order: I’m a wife, a mother, an Oma, and a lover of God. I’m a blogger, a crocheter, and I am an encourager – a real people cheerleader. (GO PEOPLE!)

And I’m also a reader, who especially enjoys reading to the littles out-loud!

filled to the brim

On the third day there was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus also was invited to the marriage, with his disciples. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Now six stone jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

Not my friend’s…but my father’s.

I recently assisted a friend with choosing their grave-marker the other day. And while I was honored to have been at his side I discovered it is not an easy task to walk through.

However, I would not have wished to have done it any…other…way.
