recently celebrated an Anniversary!

And in typical fashion we spent the day doing what we love best:

 

Spending time together!

 

On a whim & with a whisp of whimsy in our hearts we set out for nearby Canada for a anniversary day-cation to Niagara-on-the Lake, Ontario.

 

A short jaunt from whence we reside, (unless you neglect to take your passports and need to turn-around and retrieve them before crossing the border,) it is a lovely area we have enjoyed visiting on multiple occasions.

Located in Canada’s wine country, Niagara-on-the-Lake presents a well-preserved 19th-century village and its charms.

And whether you drive or bike through the area, stop at one of the 100+ wineries, visit Fort George National Historic Site, or ride along the Niagara Escarpment on horseback or book a white-water adventure at nearby Niagara Falls (you might have heard of them) you are sure to enjoy this quaint little community.

Stopping in for a pint to toast our future daughter-in-law at our favorite pub, The Olde Angel Inn, which is the oldest operating inn in all of Ontario!

We both highly agree – whether it’s a casual visit or a formal event, Stratus Winery welcomes you to a place, to an experience and to wines well worth remembering! Normally not white wine purveyors we were delighted to discover their Chardonnay was exquisite!

 

“Champers” in the room & “tea time” at the Prince of Wales is often a must!

And there is unfailingly..

so much whimsy to be had in a day!
