Take heart!

In many other translations, this verse says, “Take courage!”

Such a beautiful, heartened, rally cry from Jesus to every one of us.

So, what is it that is supposed to embolden us?

I’ve been having several of those moments within these past weeks & months.  The material has come from multiple sources and has applied to various circumstances; but none the less, I have marveled as my Heavenly Father has led me to each one.

aspire to please Him

“Brothers and sisters:  We are always courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.  Yet we are courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord.  Therefore, we aspire to please him, whether we are at home or away.  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense, according to what he did in the body, whether good or evil. ”     2 Corinthians 5:6-10 

what is your core intention?

is it fear? or is it love?

“I desire to please Him because one day I am going to stand before Him.”

And so begins an inspiring homily given by our pastor, Fr. Larry Richards.
