There really is something very magical that comes together within this small lake town community in Northwestern Pennsylvania throughout the entire year; however, the fourth of July is extra-special and we are so grateful to be a part of it!

Lord, there are so many things in this life that can cause exceeding joy!
Health, stability, close friends, reconciliation, new believers, love. All of these things are wonderful in Your precious name.
Only You can provide joy that is long-lasting and meaningful. If I am only confident in things on the surface, I’ll never truly access what You provide – joy in my salvation.

In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
John 1:4
Lord, I choose to believe today that Your Son is the true light for this world. While I was lost it was His goodness that led me. When this life is hard to live and I get hurt because of its brokenness, I will still find joy in my Savior. My life starts and ends in Him. Because of His sacrifice, there will be a day when there is no more heartache or pain.
I long for that day, Lord, when Jesus comes back to rescue us all again. And I am confident that He will return like He promised. Until then I will do my best to confidently share the light of Christ with all those around me in my words and actions.
Amen.
