It’s a Women’s Thing!

Hello, friends!

Recently, I was asked to deliver a presentation for the Women in our Parish regarding adult female friendship and the importance of female friendship in a woman’s life.

But before I go any further in this post I must explain a few things about myself.

In no particular order: I’m a wife, a mother, an Oma, and a lover of God. I’m a blogger, a crocheter, and I am an encourager – a real people cheerleader. (GO PEOPLE!)

And I’m also a reader, who especially enjoys reading to the littles out-loud!

It is real

They say love is blind.

I disagree.

Infatuation is blind.

Love is all-seeing and accepting.

Love is seeing the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. Love is accepting the bad habits and mannerisms, and working around them. Love is recognizing all the fears and insecurities, and knowing your role is to comfort. Love is working through all the challenges and painful times.

Infatuation is fragile and will shatter when life is not perfect.

Love is strong and it strengthens because

it is real.
