Christmas Day has come and gone but don’t be tempted to take your Christmas decorations down too quickly because tradition stipulates it should stay up for a little while longer!

However, that won’t stop some people who have most likely already stripped their homes of all things red & green and packed them tightly away for next Season.

Have you ever noticed the people who RUSH to take down their decorations are usually also the ones who have all their Christmas shopping completed by Halloween? Giggles.

However, Christian tradition, dating back to the 4th century, marks the Eve of the Epiphany (or 12 nights after Christmas) as the time to take down your tree and pack away your decorations again.

How wonderful are God’s gifts!

There is life everlasting, joy in righteousness, truth in freedom, faith, confidence, and self-control in holiness.  And these gifts that we can comprehend; what of all the others that are being prepared for those who look to him. Only the Creator, the Father of the ages, the all-holy, knows their grandeur and their loveliness.  And so we should strive to be found among those who wait for him so that we may share in these promised gifts. it’s the first of the twelve!

Some people tend to think of Christmas as being just December 25th, but the Christmas season lasts longer than that!

The Shepherds & the Wise Men have yet to arrive!

According to the Church’s Universal Norms on the Liturgical Year and the Calendar, the official rule is this: the Christmas Season begins at the Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve and ends on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

So don’t yet take down the tree!

Christ was born for all to See!

Let us rejoice and proclaim His dear birth!

Once more the world remembers
Our blessed Savior’s  birth.

Once more we think of Bethlehem and pray for peace on earth.
