’tis this season

“Jesus does not demand great actions from us, but simply surrender and gratitude.”

– St Therese of Lisieux

Every year our parish Priest, Fr. Larry Richards, reminds us we are an Easter people!

(And Hallelujah is our song!)

I love this about him.

He also reminds us that HE does not like Lent! How it’s his least favorite time of the year and that he’s never been a lenten person, “Never have been and never will be.”

Falling Leaves

Today, as I rode by,
I saw the brown leaves dropping from their tree
In a still afternoon,
When no wind whirled them whistling to the sky,
But thickly, silently,
They fell, like snowflakes wiping out the noon;
And wandered slowly thence
For thinking of a gallant multitude
Which now all withering lay,
Slain by no wind of age or pestilence,
But in their beauty strewed
Like snowflakes falling on the Flemish clay.
